The purpose of an H&I meeting is to carry the NA message of recovery to addicts who do not have full access to regular Narcotics Anonymous Meetings. H&I meetings/presentations, except for those in longer term facilities, are intended to simply introduce those attending to some of the basics of the NA program

Area Service Committee

Area Service Committee is local service structure of trusted servants for the Berkshire County Area of Narcotics Anonymous.  Area is attended by Group Service Representatives as well as sitting committee members.  Area is open to everyone however voting rights are limited to GSR's. Area currently meets the third Tuesday at the private dinning rooms(level G) of BMC. 275 North St. Pittsfield, MA 01201

One goal spelled out in the Narcotics Anonymous World Services’ Vision Statement is to “work together in a spirit of unity and cooperation to carry our message of recovery.” Local NA communities can have a powerful impact on the larger communities around them. It is through the unity of members in their service efforts, and a cooperative attitude toward the public, that helps the NA message of recovery grow.
